On January 28, Wei Jianjun, Chairman of Great Wall Motor, announced that the new flagship SUV from WEY has been officially named the V9X. Positioned as an AI-powered luxury six-seater SUV, it is built on the premium “Guiyuan S” technology series under Great Wall’s all-new “Guiyuan Platform.” The V9X features a bold yet futuristic design, equipped with LiDAR, full-width lighting strips, and distinctive C-shaped taillights. The Guiyuan Platform supports five powertrain configurations: plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid, pure electric, internal combustion engine, and hydrogen fuel cell. It also integrates an upgraded Hi4 technology suite, including a dedicated 2.0T hybrid engine, a 4-speed hybrid transmission, an 800V high-voltage architecture, and silicon carbide motors. Moreover, the platform adopts an SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) framework, integrating over 2,000 “atomic capability” service tags to enable native AI-driven intelligent resource scheduling. Great Wall defines it as the world’s first native AI-powered full-powertrain vehicle platform. Wei Jianjun remarked, “This car has raised the great banner in the hearts of the people of Baoding.”
