NIO founder William Li recently revealed that, as of January 27, NIO has completed a cumulative total of 99,063,908 battery swaps. The company now operates a total of 8,596 charging and swapping stations nationwide, including 3,708 battery swap stations (of which 1,017 are located on highways) and 4,887 charging stations, with over 80.21 million cumulative charging sessions. Li stated that NIO will continue investing in its "12 Full-Stack" core technologies and infrastructure development, aiming to surpass 10,000 charging and swapping stations each by 2030. This year, the company will launch construction of its fifth-generation battery swap stations, which will be compatible with three brands: NIO, ONVO, and Firefly. NIO plans to build at least 1,000 such stations by 2026. To date, NIO has invested RMB 65 billion in technological R&D and RMB 18 billion in charging and swapping infrastructure. Additionally, the company has achieved interoperability of its charging network with more than 20 automakers, including Xiaomi, XPeng, Zeekr, and Avatr.
