Volkswagen Anhui has officially started mass production of its first model based on the CEA architecture—the ID. UNYX 07—which is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of this year. The CEA architecture was co-developed by Volkswagen (China) Technology Co., Ltd. (VCTC), CARIAD China, and XPeng Motors, featuring a zonal control design and a high-performance central computing platform that offers high scalability and continuous iteration capabilities. In addition to the ID. UNYX 07, Volkswagen Anhui plans to introduce another all-new sedan in the fourth quarter. Going forward, Volkswagen’s three joint ventures in China will successively launch a total of five new vehicles based on the CEA architecture, targeting the A- to B-segment markets. The ID. UNYX 07 measures 4,853 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width, and 1,566 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,826 mm. It is equipped with a rear-mounted single motor (170 kW) and a 59.9 kWh battery, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 558 kilometers.
