Harmony Intelligent Mobility today launched the first wave of user recruitment for the January "Strong Start" OTA update for its Aito series, covering all models including the M5, M7, M8, and M9. Key highlights of this upgrade include: a new ADS three-point U-turn feature enabling more agile maneuvers in narrow roads; an enhanced Automatic Emergency Steering (eAES) system that actively changes lanes to avoid hazards; and an automatic roadside parking and SOS emergency call function triggered when driver incapacitation is detected. Additionally, the update introduces several practical and engaging features such as nearby parking assistance, map-based group travel coordination, forced power generation (for range-extended models), "stay powered after exit," AR-HUD lane guidance with hazard warnings, exit safety monitoring, and XiaoYi Deep Thinking capabilities. Certain advanced features require specific hardware configurations or vehicle models. Users can sign up for the update via the Harmony Intelligent Mobility app.
