Avatr Tech Appoints Sun Baigong, Former Li Auto Executive, as New Vice President

On January 29, Sun Baigong officially announced via his personal Weibo account his appointment as Vice President of Avatr Technology, with his verified profile information updated accordingly. He will primarily oversee marketing, end-to-end product management, and the establishment of the marketing system, reporting directly to Avatr’s President. Sun brings nearly 20 years of experience in the technology and automotive industries. He joined Huawei in 2005 and worked across three major business groups—Carrier, Enterprise, and Consumer BG—and played a key role in the spin-off and global expansion of the Honor brand. At the end of 2022, he joined Li Auto, where he successively led Western Region operations and the Go-to-Market (GTM) system, spearheading launch strategies for multiple vehicle models. His move to Avatr is widely seen as a pivotal step in the company’s accelerated integration of technology and automotive resources. In recent years, Avatr has undergone several senior leadership reshuffles, and its current chairman is Wang Hui, Vice President of Changan Automobile.
