On January 28, China FAW Group announced the appointment of Zhang Xiaofan as a Standing Committee Member of the Company’s Party Committee and Vice President, filling the last remaining seat in its newly formed leadership team. Zhang Xiaofan has been with Dongfeng Motor Group since 1992 and previously held key positions, including General Manager of Dongfeng’s Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, bringing extensive experience in the commercial vehicle sector. Industry analysts note that he will primarily oversee FAW’s commercial vehicle operations. In 2025, FAW Jiefang delivered impressive sales performance, and clear growth targets have already been set for 2026. Although China’s medium- and heavy-duty truck market is steadily recovering, it continues to face transformation pressures. Zhang’s appointment is expected to accelerate FAW Jiefang’s strategic deployment and breakthroughs in the new-energy commercial vehicle segment.
