According to data from Gasgoo Automotive Research Institute, among the top ten best-selling fuel-powered vehicles in 2025, five spots were claimed by Chinese domestic brands. Geely’s Xingyue L, Binyue/Binyue Pro; Chery’s Tiggo 5X, Tiggo 7/7 Plus; and Changan’s Eado/Eado Plus all made the list, demonstrating the strong rise of homegrown brands. The Nissan Sylphy topped the chart with sales of 314,500 units, while four German models—including the Volkswagen Sagitar and Passat—also secured positions in the top ten. SUVs and sedans each accounted for five entries, reflecting a more balanced market structure. In the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, BYD’s Seagull led the rankings with 529,500 units sold. Five BYD models—the Song Plus, Qin Plus, Qin L, and Yuan—dominated multiple spots on the list, collectively exceeding 1.85 million units in total sales. Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3 followed closely behind, while Xiaomi’s SU7 entered the top ten at number ten with 258,000 units sold, highlighting an increasingly competitive landscape featuring diverse brands.
