On January 29, Black Sesame Intelligence and Apollo Go—the autonomous driving mobility platform under Baidu—officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, Black Sesame Intelligence will serve as Apollo Go’s computing chip technology partner in product development, providing high-performance and highly reliable automotive-grade computing platforms, while Apollo Go will support solution validation and related efforts. The two parties aim to jointly build an autonomous driving ecosystem and accelerate the maturation of China’s intelligent driving industry chain. Currently, Apollo Go operates in 22 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, and multiple international locations, while Black Sesame Intelligence possesses mature technical expertise and mass-production experience in intelligent automotive chips. Both sides stated that this collaboration will expedite the engineering implementation and commercialization of Level 4 autonomous driving technology.
