In its Q4 2025 earnings report, General Motors announced that the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks will make their official debut in 2026. Both models will be equipped with GM’s sixth-generation V8 engine, developed at a cost of $888 million, which is scheduled to enter production in 2027 and is designed to deliver increased power while improving fuel efficiency and emissions performance. The current-generation Silverado and Sierra were launched in 2019 and received a mid-cycle refresh in 2022, adding off-road variants such as the ZR2 and AT4X. Although an exact launch date has not been disclosed, given that the current models are nearing the end of their product lifecycle, the new trucks are expected to be unveiled soon. As core products for GM, the new pickups are anticipated to follow a steady evolutionary approach in design, performance, and features, avoiding any radical changes.
