On January 26, Zhongqing Robotics and aerospace company Chuanyuezhe announced a deep strategic collaboration, officially launching China's first "Humanoid Robot Astronaut Exploration Program." Centered around Zhongqing's self-developed embodied intelligent robot PM01, the program aims to validate the robot’s capabilities in performing extravehicular inspections, equipment maintenance, and other tasks in space environments. The PM01 features high-precision perception, millisecond-level motion control, and autonomous decision-making abilities, and will now face its first test under extreme conditions including vacuum, microgravity, and extreme temperatures. Both parties will jointly advance modifications to enhance the robot’s adaptability to space, promoting "human-robot collaboration" as a key operational model for future space missions. This initiative marks a critical cross-industry integration of embodied intelligence and aerospace engineering.
