BMW plans to launch an all-new generation of the X7 in 2027, offering for the first time a customizable two-tone paint option as an extra-cost feature (upper body available in Rock Grey or Jewel Blue, lower body customizable with over 100 paint choices) priced at RMB 150,000—a feature previously exclusive to the 7 Series and i7. The new X7 will also debut premium features such as power-closing doors and automatic door-illuminating lights. Exterior styling carries over the current design language, retaining the iconic kidney grille, sharp LED headlights, muscular character lines, and quad exhaust tips. Inside, rear seats gain new ventilation and massage functions, and buyers can opt for a 31.3-inch 8K Theater Screen featuring MiniLED technology with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, supporting split-screen display and 5G connectivity. Powertrain options will include six-cylinder and eight-cylinder gasoline variants. The all-electric iX7 is expected to deliver a range exceeding 500 kilometers, while the high-performance ALPINA version could produce up to 660 kW (approximately 885 hp), enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in under 3.5 seconds.
