On the evening of February 1, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, addressed recent rumors about a "collapse in the resale value of Xiaomi's used cars" during a live stream from Yizhuang, Beijing. He stated that certain used-car dealers had exaggerated and spread false information to attract attention, while the actual situation was quite the opposite. Citing the "2025 China Automotive Residual Value Report," jointly released by the China Automobile Dealers Association and Jingzhengu, Lei noted that the Xiaomi SU7 achieved a one-year residual value retention rate of 86.05%, ranking first among all-electric vehicles—significantly higher than the Porsche Taycan (80.66%) and Tesla Model S (81.72%). He added that multiple media outlets had visited used-car markets and found the SU7 sells quickly and demonstrates outstanding residual value performance, urging netizens to report any false information.
