The 2026 BMW 5 Series and its all-electric counterpart, the i5, have officially launched in the market. As annual updated models, both vehicles feature comprehensive upgrades in specifications while seeing significant price reductions of RMB 70,000 to 90,000. The gasoline-powered 5 Series is available in seven variants, priced from RMB 368,000 to RMB 448,000, while the i5 comes in three versions, priced between RMB 368,000 and RMB 458,000—marking the first time the entry-level prices for both models are aligned. The base trims now include the Parking Assistant Pro (featuring smartphone-controlled parking and 200-meter reversing trace), a two-tone comfort seat package (including front-seat ventilation and lumbar support, passenger-seat memory function, and rear-seat heating), four-zone automatic climate control, and 5G connectivity. Mid- and high-end variants further add features such as a full-color head-up display (HUD) and rear-seat heating. The i5 also receives equivalent configuration upgrades, with its CLTC-rated range extended to 602 kilometers.
