On February 2, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class debuted globally with its most extensive mid-cycle refresh in history. The updated model features the latest-generation Digital Light digital headlight system, with each headlamp integrating 25,000 micro-LEDs—totaling 50,000 LEDs per vehicle—expanding the illuminated area by approximately 40% and achieving a maximum illumination distance of 605 meters. The headlights support dynamic high-beam adjustment based on camera and navigation data, capable of projecting warning symbols for lane departure, wrong-way driving, and other hazards. They also automatically activate a narrow-road lighting mode in construction zones. Additionally, during vehicle unlocking or locking, the headlights can display animated light shows such as "Digital Rain" and "Stellar Pulse." The new system weighs over 25% less than previous versions, and its lighting software is now directly integrated into the vehicle’s main control board, enhancing precision. With these upgrades, the vehicle’s price is expected to increase accordingly.
