Tesla has officially announced its entry into the Moroccan market and will host a vehicle launch event on February 6 at the Anfa Place Shopping Center in Casablanca, formally introducing the Model 3 and Model Y. Tesla’s Morocco website is now live and accepting registrations for the event, with sales operations set to commence soon. Although the vehicle configurator is not yet active, the company had already deployed Supercharger stations in the country several years ago. Morocco’s auto sales in 2024 reached a ten-year high, and electric vehicle (EV) sales in the first half of 2025 surged by 176.5% year-over-year, with the total EV fleet expected to exceed 18,000 units by year-end. While brands like BYD hold a price advantage, Tesla—leveraging its premium positioning and established charging network—is well-positioned to stand out in this rapidly growing North African market.
