Mercedes-Benz has recently filed an innovative seat patent that extends massage functionality to the head. According to IT Home, the system uses sensors to detect the occupant's height and head position, automatically adjusting multiple massage arms within the headrest to deliver precise movements—including shifting, twisting, vibration, and rotation—targeting various areas of the head. Users can activate the feature remotely via the central display or a smartphone app and customize massage locations. Mercedes-Benz stated that this technology aims to alleviate muscle tension and fatigue during driving, enhancing overall comfort. Although the technology may not enter mass production immediately, it reinforces the brand’s differentiated advantage in premium comfort features.
