Recently, in its "OTA New Year Boost" update, Zhijie Auto introduced a new "gesture-activated trunk opening" feature. However, some users experienced recognition failures due to incorrect operation. In response, the Product Director of Harmony Intelligent Mobility Zhijie released a video demonstrating the correct usage: users must first enable "Gesture Control" in the vehicle settings, then stand approximately 50 cm behind the car and smoothly lift one leg to a height of 20 cm before lowering it back down. The feature may not function properly under certain conditions—such as when someone is in the driver’s seat, the vehicle is not in Park (P) gear, there are obstacles within 1 meter behind the car, the camera lens is dirty, or direct strong light is shining on the camera. This gesture feature is one of over 30 updates included in the latest OTA release, which also introduces new features like a Liu Yifei voice pack and a three-point turn maneuver assist.
