Following Leapmotor Auto's 2026 annual meeting, some employees took to social media to complain about the event, citing issues such as "no food, no air conditioning, insufficient restrooms, and outdoor activities held in the rain," sparking widespread online discussion. In response, Chairman Zhu Jiangming issued a company-wide letter late on February 2, acknowledging organizational shortcomings that led to a poor experience for some attendees and announcing a comprehensive review and optimization of the entire event process. While affirming the team’s original intention to save costs, he emphasized that “doing things well must come first.” Meanwhile, other netizens clarified that the annual meeting actually began at 3:30 p.m., offering fruit, snacks, hot dishes including lobster, and prize giveaways with a winning rate exceeding 30%, including rewards like iPhones and gold bars. Despite ongoing debates over specific details, Zhu reiterated his commitment to addressing the issues and continuously improving. As the top-selling new-energy vehicle (NEV) startup in China in 2025, Leapmotor reported RMB 19.45 billion in revenue and RMB 150 million in net profit for Q3 2024.
