Capricorn Group—a supplier of components for motorsport series including Formula 1, LMP1, and the WEC—is accelerating production of its first hypercar, the 01 Zagato. Following its debut last October, the second prototype was unveiled at the Rétromobile show in Paris, and construction of a third prototype is already underway. The car features a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine producing 888 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed dog-leg manual transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds and reaches a top speed of 224 mph. Inside, only two buttons remain—ignition/start-stop and drive mode—emphasizing a pure driving experience. Capricorn will produce just 19 units, sold exclusively through the Louyet Group at €2.95 million (approximately $3.5 million) each, with only a handful of allocations remaining.
