The Lexus LC will officially cease production in August 2025, with its iconic 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine retiring simultaneously. Since entering mass production in 2016, the LC has been hailed as the "most beautiful Lexus" for its stunning design that closely mirrors the LF-LC concept car, achieving global cumulative sales of approximately 15,000 units. However, its market performance has weakened in recent years, with global sales in 2025 totaling only around 1,300 units. It is reported that following the LC's discontinuation, Toyota’s GR GT and the all-new LFA will temporarily fill the GT model gap. A true successor is expected to arrive around 2030, likely sharing a platform with the next-generation GR Supra and featuring a hybrid powertrain to help control development costs.
