According to foreign media reports, Tesla now has over 9 million vehicle owners worldwide, adding nearly 1 million new owners in just the past six months. This figure comes from an announcement made by Tesla China’s official Weibo account shortly before the Chinese New Year: “Celebrating the Spring Festival together with 9 million Tesla owners around the world.” As early as July–August 2023, Tesla had repeatedly stated that its global owner base had surpassed 8 million, confirming the recent rapid growth. Although Tesla’s total deliveries in 2023 saw a slight year-over-year decline, the sustained strong sales of the Model 3 and Model Y over many years have kept its vehicle fleet among the largest globally for electric vehicles. Additionally, on December 30, 2023, Tesla’s 9-millionth vehicle rolled off the production line at its Gigafactory Shanghai, further underscoring its massive user base.
