MIIT to Accelerate Key Auto Standards for Autonomous Driving and Crash Safety

Guo Shougang, Deputy Director-General of the First Department of Equipment Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and a first-grade inspector, stated at a press conference held by the State Administration for Market Regulation on April 4 that China will thoroughly implement the "National Outline for Standardization Development" and the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021–2035)," accelerating the development of standards in key areas such as automated driving, crash safety, and vehicle control components. This move aims to enhance automotive safety and quality performance through upgraded standards, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality and sustainable development of the automotive industry.
