On February 5, the Baojun HuaJing S successfully completed its final round of winter extreme-cold testing in Heihe, Heilongjiang Province, where temperatures plunged to -30°C. Fully loaded with six occupants to simulate real-world family travel scenarios, the vehicle passed nine core test items, including nighttime snow-covered AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) tests involving children under backlit conditions, snow-covered moose tests, and split-friction hill-climbing maneuvers. These tests comprehensively validated the perception, decision-making, and response capabilities of Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving system under extreme icy and snowy conditions, as well as the vehicle’s powertrain, chassis, all-wheel-drive system, and body stability performance at their limits. As the first flagship model resulting from the deepened collaboration between SAIC-GM-Wuling and Huawei, the HuaJing S is equipped with Lingxi Powertrain 3.0, Shenlian Battery 3.0, and the Tianyu Architecture L platform. It also marks the first application of Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving system and HarmonyOS cockpit. The vehicle rolled off the production line on January 26 at SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Global Partner Conference, signaling its entry into a critical pre-mass-production phase.
