On February 5, 2026, Castrol officially launched its new mid-to-high-end tire series—"Yu Hu" (Yuhu)—at the Shanghai Tianma Circuit, marking its strategic expansion from lubricants into the tire sector and further enhancing its "one-stop" automotive aftermarket solutions. Designed to address everyday driving pain points, the Yuhu series emphasizes two core performance attributes: wet-weather safety and quiet, comfortable ride quality. It achieves EU Grade A standards for wet braking, significantly improving driving safety in rainy conditions, and features an optimized tread pitch sequence that substantially reduces road noise for enhanced cabin comfort. Daisy Dai, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Castrol Greater China, stated that this move is a key component of the brand’s long-term strategy, aimed at deepening its commitment to the Chinese market and becoming a trusted, full-lifecycle mobility partner for consumers. The launch event also featured live demonstrations of wet-braking performance and noise-reduction capabilities, offering attendees an immersive and tangible experience of the product’s strengths.
