NIO Hits 100 Million Battery Swaps; First Swap Station Launched in Shenzhen in 2018

On February 6, Li Bin, founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO, announced during a live stream that NIO has cumulatively completed 100 million battery swaps, marking a significant milestone. Li revealed that this journey began in 2018 when NIO opened its first battery swap station in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. As the cornerstone of NIO’s energy service system, the battery swap model has consistently delivered an efficient refueling experience for users, and this achievement of 100 million swaps underscores NIO’s substantial progress in building out its charging and swapping infrastructure.
