Dongfeng Nissan has officially announced the new mid-to-large SUV, the NX8 Extended-Range (EREV) variant, which is expected to launch in March or April this year. Built on the "Tianyan" architecture, the NX8 will be available in both all-electric and extended-range versions. The EREV model features a 43.2 kWh CATL LFP "Cloud Shield" battery pack and a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder range extender with a maximum output of 109 kW, delivering a CLTC-rated all-electric range exceeding 200 km. The vehicle measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,917 mm. The all-electric version supports an 800V high-voltage platform and CATL’s 5C ultra-fast charging technology. The NX8 has already been included in the 404th batch of the “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products,” with a curb weight starting from approximately 2,162 kg.
