Recently, automotive media outlet CarBuzz revealed winter road test spy shots of Mercedes-AMG's new flagship all-electric SUV. The vehicle is expected to be built on the high-performance AMG.EA electric platform and is slated for launch in 2028. Powering the SUV will be axial-flux motors supplied by YASA, arranged in a tri-motor layout, delivering an initial output exceeding 1,000 horsepower and peaking at 1,341 horsepower. Thanks to its 800V high-voltage architecture, the SUV supports DC fast charging at up to 330 kW. The new model is likely to follow the GT series naming convention and could be named the "Mercedes-AMG GT SUV Coupe," sharing core technologies with the electric four-door GT coupe.
