GAC Trumpchi M8 HEV Launches with Pre-sales Starting at ¥229,800 and 6.15L/100km Fuel Economy

GAC Motor’s 2026 Trumpchi M8 HEV has officially launched pre-sales, offering two variants: the HEV Premium (RMB 229,800) and the HEV Supreme (RMB 249,800). The new model features a hybrid powertrain combining a 2.0T engine with a front-mounted electric motor, paired with a 2-speed DHT transmission. It achieves a remarkably low WLTC combined fuel consumption of just 6.15 L/100 km. Exterior styling carries forward the “Awakened Lion” front fascia from the Zongshi series. Inside, buyers can choose between two interior themes—“Mayfair Manor” and “Misty Waters”—and enjoy standard equipment including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. The ADiGO Space intelligent cockpit, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, supports four-zone voice control, multi-modal interaction, and draft-free climate control as standard across all trims. Measuring 5,212 mm in length, 1,893 mm in width, and 1,823 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm, the M8 HEV adopts a 2+2+3 seating configuration. During the pre-sale period, customers can enjoy benefits including RMB 1,000 deposit redeemable for RMB 8,000 off the purchase price, trade-in subsidies, and national scrappage-for-upgrade incentives.
