On February 8, BYD released official camouflaged photos of the Seagull 08, which made its debut in snowy conditions, showcasing its dynamic coupe silhouette. As one of the "Ocean Series 8 Twin Flagships," the Seagull 08 is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized coupe, while the other flagship model is the rugged-styled mid-to-large-sized SUV, the Sea Lion 08. Both models were officially unveiled at BYD’s Ocean Day event in December 2025, celebrating the fourth anniversary of the Ocean series, and are expected to make their official debut in the first quarter of 2026. The company has not yet disclosed further technical details.
