A TikTok user named Just Shells shared her disappointing experience after purchasing a Lexus GX 550. Having owned a Ford Expedition for 25 years, she wanted to upgrade her vehicle and ordered the GX 550 without thoroughly test-driving it. After waiting six months for delivery, she discovered numerous issues: insufficient cargo space when the third row is in use, too few cup holders and storage compartments, a small fuel tank coupled with high fuel consumption, and an interior lacking a sense of "luxury." She admitted that she finds new problems every day she drives it and, despite owning the vehicle for nearly a year, is still considering switching cars. She’s now looking at options like the Lincoln Navigator, Infiniti QX80, or returning to the Ford Expedition King Ranch. She emphasized the importance of thoroughly test-driving a vehicle before purchase and simulating everyday usage scenarios. Experts also advise that test drives should include evaluating cargo space, experiencing all seating positions, and testing the infotainment system to avoid impulsive buying decisions.
