In response to recent rumors that the Zhiji S7 would be discontinued and replaced by the Shangji Z7, Zhao Changjiang, Executive Director of Zhiji Auto, clearly stated: "The S7 will undergo an update and generational upgrade—but not this year." This statement directly debunked the speculation and confirmed that the model will remain in the product lineup. Previously, Zhao had indicated that both the Zhiji R7 and S7 would receive major updates in 2024, equipped with Huawei's ADS 4.0 intelligent driving system. However, his latest remarks reveal that the S7’s update schedule has been adjusted and will not happen this year. The current version of the Zhiji S7 went on sale in August 2023, starting at RMB 229,800, and comes standard across all trims with Huawei’s 192-line LiDAR, rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, and 4D millimeter-wave radar, supporting the HUAWEI ADS 4.0 system.
