Tesla announced that its Cybercab, an autonomous electric vehicle, will begin mass production and enter service around April 2026 at its Texas Gigafactory. At the company’s 2025 shareholder meeting, CEO Elon Musk stated that the Cybercab is expected to become Tesla’s highest-volume vehicle ever, with a target annual production capacity of approximately 2 million units. The Cybercab is a two-seater robotaxi designed based on data showing that over 90% of trips involve no more than two passengers. Tesla emphasized that its existing product lineup, together with the Cybercab, will form a comprehensive robotaxi service portfolio catering to varying passenger capacities.
