The all-new BMW iX1 is expected to officially launch in early 2028. The vehicle carries forward BMW’s Neue Klasse design language, featuring a compact silhouette with shorter front and rear overhangs, a slightly lower roofline, flush door handles, and understated wheel arches—delivering a highly technological appearance. At the front, a narrower kidney grille extends onto the hood and pairs with slim LED headlights for high visual recognition. The rear features soft contours, with taillights that stretch inward toward the tailgate. In terms of powertrains, the iX1 will be offered in multiple variants: the rear-wheel-drive iX130 and iX140 cater to everyday driving needs, while the iX140 xDrive adds dual-motor all-wheel drive. The top-tier iX1 M50 xDrive is expected to deliver around 600 horsepower. The entry-level iX130 will likely come equipped with a smaller battery pack and produce approximately 300 horsepower. The new model is poised to further strengthen BMW’s position in the expanding electric vehicle market.
