Recently, Leapmotor Automobiles faced employee backlash over its annual electronics division meeting held in a warehouse at its Huzhou factory, which was criticized for its poor conditions: no heating, insufficient restrooms, no lunch provided, and modest raffle prizes such as mouse pads. In response, founder Zhu Jiangming issued an internal apology letter, acknowledging organizational shortcomings and initiating a comprehensive review and optimization process. However, some employees later clarified that the actual event featured generous prizes, including 20 iPhone 17 units and hundreds of other awards like DJI Pocket 3 cameras. According to the latest reports, the company has since added another 110 iPhone 17 Pro units as giveaways. Based on the mainstream 512GB model priced at RMB 10,999 each, the total value exceeds RMB 1.2 million.
