Harmony Intelligent Mobility recently won a first-instance ruling in a defamation lawsuit against the self-media account "I'm Dabin Classmate." The court ordered the defendant to delete the infringing content, issue a public apology, and pay Harmony Intelligent Mobility RMB 1.5 million in compensation. Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s legal department confirmed it has received the court’s first-instance judgment. The ruling stated that the statements made by "I'm Dabin Classmate" significantly deviated from objective facts, clearly exceeded the bounds of reasonable freedom of expression, and demonstrated deliberate intent to insult and disparage Harmony Intelligent Mobility, thereby constituting an infringement of its right to reputation. This case underscores enterprises’ resolve to safeguard their legitimate rights through legal means and provides clear judicial guidance on the boundaries of online speech.
