Qingdao, Shandong Province recently launched the "2026 Qingdao Spring Festival Consumption Season" auto purchase subsidy program, allocating RMB 30 million to provide direct subsidies to individual consumers buying vehicles. The program will run until March 31. Consumers who purchase a new vehicle from an automobile dealership registered in Qingdao, obtain an official invoice, and complete vehicle registration are eligible to apply for the subsidy. For new energy passenger vehicles, the subsidy amounts to 4% of the total invoice price (including tax), with a maximum of RMB 12,000 per vehicle. For conventional fuel-powered passenger vehicles, the subsidy is 3% of the total invoice price (including tax), capped at RMB 10,000 per vehicle. It should be noted that this subsidy cannot be combined with Qingdao’s 2026 vehicle trade-in-for-new policy. The total subsidy funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted or the deadline is reached.
