GAC Group Chairman Feng Xingya recently stated that the automotive industry has been in a critical phase over the past year characterized by the convergence of four major transitions: industrial transformation, technological iteration, management restructuring, and reshaping of competitive dynamics. As a state-owned enterprise employing nearly 100,000 people, GAC fully recognizes that embracing change is its only path forward. Despite projecting a net loss of RMB 8–9 billion for 2025, the company has achieved sequential sales growth for three consecutive quarters, with January 2025 sales reaching 116,600 units—a year-over-year increase of 18.47%—and maintaining a sound financial structure. GAC is actively advancing reforms within its self-owned brand business units (BUs) and completed the integration of Hyper and Aion’s sales channels across 254 stores in 147 cities nationwide in February. Additionally, GAC has signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement with Huawei Device, focusing on joint innovation in the HarmonyOS ecosystem and AI technologies.
