The rear-wheel-drive BMW M3 Competition xDrive (G80) has officially been discontinued. Powered by the S58 twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, it delivered 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds. Currently, BMW’s official website only offers the M3 M xDrive Competition model, equipped with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system, boosting output to 530 horsepower and achieving a 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.5 seconds. The two variants previously retailed for RMB 863,900 (rear-wheel drive) and RMB 913,900 (all-wheel drive), respectively. With this discontinuation, the entire M3 lineup will now shift exclusively to an all-wheel-drive configuration.
