Leapmotor’s second model launched in the Australian market, the B10, is now on sale starting at AUD 37,888 (approximately RMB 185,000). Stellantis Group—which holds a 51% stake in Leapmotor International—described it as “the most European-styled Chinese SUV.” Rick Clayton, Senior Product Manager at Stellantis Australia, noted that the B10 was co-developed with Stellantis and features a rear-wheel-drive architecture with a 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution, emphasizing handling dynamics and chassis tuning. He explained that the “European character” is reflected in the suspension feel, damping performance, cornering stability, and road-hugging driving experience, avoiding the harsh vibrations often associated with insufficiently tuned setups. The B10 has a curb weight of 1,780 kg, a maximum output of 160 kW, and peak torque of 240 N·m. Leapmotor also plans to introduce the B05, another rear-wheel-drive model based on the same platform, in Australia.
