The 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala has sparked widespread attention with its high-density AI robot performances. The show featured a blend of acrobatics and technology in the iconic finale "Unforgettable Tonight," along with robot skits, martial arts parkour, and drone light shows—collectively showcasing the multidimensional advancement of China's robotics industry. Zhao Yongpo, CEO of WEY brand under Great Wall Motor, remarked that the simultaneous appearance of multiple domestically developed robots on stage not only demonstrates technological maturity but also reflects the overall progress of the industrial chain. He noted that although intelligent automotive systems are easier to implement than general-purpose robots, challenges remain—but he remains confident in the future of "Made in China" intelligence. Yu Lei, the gala’s chief director, stated that this year’s Spring Festival Gala features an unprecedented concentration of robotic elements, aiming to showcase China’s technological prowess to audiences and inviting them to “grade the performance.”
