On February 19, 2026 (the third day of the Chinese New Year), NIO achieved a record-breaking single-day total of 165,898 battery swaps, marking a new historical high—its third such record in just five days during the Spring Festival holiday. The three busiest battery swap stations that day were all located at highway service areas: Xiaoxi Service Area on the G1523 Yongguan Expressway in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou, Fujian (173 swaps); Hansi New Energy Station on the G35 Jiguang Expressway in Wuhua County, Meizhou, Guangdong (159 swaps); and Nancheng Service Area on the G35 Jiguang Expressway in Nancheng County, Fuzhou, Jiangxi (159 swaps). As of February 6, 2026, NIO had surpassed 100 million cumulative battery swaps, demonstrating the scalability of its battery swap model. To date, NIO has built more than 8,600 charging and swapping stations nationwide, including over 3,700 battery swap stations—more than 1,000 of which are situated along highways. Its network now covers 550 cities and has established a comprehensive “9 North-South Corridors, 11 East-West Corridors, and 16 Major City Clusters” infrastructure, providing efficient energy replenishment support for users traveling during the Spring Festival.
