Lunar New Year Holiday Brings Traffic Surge on Wuyu Expressway—Travel Off-Peak Advised

During the Spring Festival holiday, traffic volume on the Wuyu Expressway in Xinjiang has continued to rise. According to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Department of Transportation, the peak traffic period occurs daily between 11:00 and 18:00 until February 23, often leading to slow-moving conditions. To reduce congestion and shorten travel time, transportation authorities recommend that the public avoid peak hours and instead travel during the early morning window of 7:00 to 10:00 or after 18:00 in the evening.
