In his Lunar New Year message, Geely Auto Group CEO Gan Jiayue unveiled multiple technology implementation plans: this year, the entire Geely Galaxy series of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) will achieve a pure electric range exceeding 200 kilometers. In the first half of the year, Geely will launch the world’s first i-HEV intelligent dual-motor hybrid technology featuring “AI Cloud Power,” delivering fuel consumption as low as 3 liters per 100 kilometers. Additionally, Geely’s next-generation methanol hybrid vehicle will enter mass production and hit the market, offering an operating cost of approximately RMB 0.2 per kilometer, while the company accelerates the expansion of its methanol refueling infrastructure to reach a 60% coverage rate. On the intelligent driving front, the advanced “Qianli Haohan H7” driver-assistance system will be rolled out across more Lynk & Co and Galaxy models. The new version of the G-ASD advanced driver-assistance system will debut on the Zeekr 8X, which will also feature the world’s only full-stack 900V high-voltage hybrid powertrain architecture in the hybrid segment, equipped with Geely’s self-developed 2.0T dedicated hybrid engine and an electric drive transmission delivering a peak power output of 290 kW.
