In February 2026, Valeo Powertrain Thermal Systems officially inaugurated its Global Innovation Center in Jingzhou, Hubei Province. Focused on the development of standardized products under the P2 project, this center represents a key step in Valeo’s “Leap 2028” strategy to strengthen its R&D footprint in China. Since establishing its first factory in Jingzhou in 1994, Valeo has built 14 R&D centers across China, employing over 4,500 researchers—including more than 1,000 software engineers. Currently, over 65% of Valeo’s orders in China come from domestic automakers, and it is developing globally exported products for brands such as smart, Zeekr, and Chery. Jingzhou is emerging as Valeo’s global innovation hub and talent base for electrified thermal management systems, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to “rooting itself in China and serving China.”
