Horse Technologies, a division of Horse Powertrain, has jointly developed a new-generation high-efficiency hybrid powertrain with energy company Repsol, featuring 100% renewable gasoline for the first time. The system integrates the HORSE H12 concept engine, which achieves a peak brake thermal efficiency (BTE) of 44.2% through an optimized combustion system and reduced internal losses—translating to a 40% improvement in fuel consumption compared to the 2023 European passenger car average. Under the WLTP test cycle, it delivers fuel consumption of less than 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers. When applied to a mid-size vehicle traveling an average of 12,500 kilometers annually, it can reduce CO₂ emissions by 1.77 tons per year compared to conventional gasoline-powered vehicles, significantly enhancing environmental performance.
