Polestar has announced plans to launch four new models between 2026 and 2028, directly challenging German high-performance brands. In 2026, the flagship all-electric GT model, the Polestar 5, will hit the market, featuring a 112 kWh battery pack and an 800V architecture. Its performance variant will deliver 884 horsepower, targeting Audi’s RS lineup. Also in 2026, Polestar will introduce a shooting brake version of the Polestar 4. In 2027, the second-generation Polestar 2 will be reimagined as a three-box sedan and will include a high-performance variant aimed at competing with the Tesla Model 3 Performance. The rollout will conclude in 2028 with the compact SUV Polestar 7, positioned in the premium C-segment SUV market. Additionally, Polestar will evolve its “BST” badge into an independent high-performance sub-brand. Future high-performance versions of the Polestar 2, 3, 4, and 5 will carry this designation, emphasizing track-focused tuning and enhanced acceleration capabilities. This strategic initiative is backed by a $900 million investment from parent company Geely, marking Polestar’s transition from recovery to comprehensive upgrade.
