At NIO’s Beijing New Year Gathering on February 24, co-founder Qin Lihong revealed that the company’s flagship SUV, the NIO ES9, will officially launch and unveil its pricing at the end of May, with deliveries commencing on June 1. The vehicle made its technical debut on April 10 as a large all-electric SUV, measuring 5,365 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. It is powered by dual motors—180 kW at the front and 340 kW at the rear—and has a top speed of 220 km/h. The ES9 features 23-inch wide tires, a two-tone body design, and a wide range of personalized customization options. It also supports NIO’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, with battery cells supplied by CATL. NIO CEO William Li previously stated that the ES9 is poised to become the most competitive all-electric vehicle in its price segment. Additionally, the Onvo L80, along with the all-new ES7 and ES6, will be launched and delivered in succession.
