To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Accord, GAC Honda has launched a special promotion offering existing customers a direct discount of RMB 100,000 when repurchasing the Accord e:PHEV, bringing its starting price down to just RMB 138,800. The offer is limited to 1,000 units. Some Beijing dealerships have already sold out, though a few stores still have inventory available for order. Once hailed as the "legendary midsize sedan," the Accord is accelerating promotions amid growing competition from new energy vehicles, recording January sales of 13,825 units—ranking sixth among midsize sedans. Shortly afterward, SAIC Audi announced on February 25 a limited-time promotion for the Audi E5 Sportback, offering comprehensive benefits worth RMB 30,000 and lowering its starting price to RMB 205,900. The E5 Sportback is SAIC Audi’s first all-electric model bearing the “AUDI” badge; since its launch in September last year, its monthly sales have fluctuated significantly. Following the Lunar New Year holiday, joint-venture brands have rolled out a wave of aggressive price cuts and low-interest financing offers, highlighting intensifying competition in the auto market. February, impacted by the holiday season, is expected to be the year’s lowest point in terms of sales volume.
