The 2026 GAC Trumpchi M8 HEV plug-in hybrid MPV has officially launched, with a starting price of RMB 197,800 after government and enterprise subsidies. The new model qualifies for a national scrappage-for-upgrade subsidy of RMB 12,000 and a manufacturer trade-in incentive starting at RMB 10,000, along with a lifetime warranty on its triple-electric system (battery, motor, and power electronics). It features the industry’s first series-parallel two-speed dual-motor hybrid system paired with a 2.0TM engine, delivering a WLTC fuel consumption of 6.15 L/100 km and a total driving range of 1,057 km. Safety is enhanced by a body structure comprising 81.7% high-strength steel and the world’s first rear windshield airbag. Two trim levels are available: the Premium Edition (RMB 219,800) and the Supreme Edition (RMB 239,800).
