GAC Motor’s Trumpchi M8 HEV, a mid-to-large-size hybrid MPV, has officially launched with two variants: the Premium and Supreme trims, priced at RMB 219,800 and RMB 239,800 respectively. With combined national subsidies and manufacturer trade-in incentives, the starting price drops to as low as RMB 197,800. The new model is powered by a dedicated 2.0T hybrid engine paired with a dual-motor system and a 2-speed DHT transmission, delivering a WLTC-rated fuel consumption of 6.15 L/100 km and a maximum range of 1,057 km on a full tank—making it the industry’s first series-parallel, two-speed, dual-motor hybrid MPV. Measuring 5,212 mm long, 1,893 mm wide, and 1,823 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm, the M8 HEV features a standard 7-seat layout. Its exterior continues the brand’s signature “Awakened Lion” front fascia design, while the cabin comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and equipped with the ADiGO Pilot Level 2 advanced driver-assistance system.
